KT Flood Gate is designed to block and prevent flood waters from flowing into below ground slopping arcades, public facilities, building basements and especially underground car parks.

Our Flood Gate system can also be used to control floodwater flows at the upstream or downstream of land clearing and construction sites too.

The structure are designed to withstand the impact force of flood water pressure that can lead to structure and leakage failure. Our water leakage control unit is designed under the BS 7775:95 standard requirements.

The gate open-close mode is controlled by electrical brake motor with manual override feature during power failure situations.

For safety, sensors that can detect object near the gate while closing are mounted at suitable position to advert accident. To add the safety, we have added a gate lock mechanism to ensure that there will not be ay accidental gate drop downs during electrical failure. Alarm and warning light are activated during the gate open or close mode as warning signal.

Normally the gate always in the open position and is open and close by 90˚ turning mechanism. The gate is activated by signal from the water level sensor at the sump when the water level rises up to the preset limit. When the water level rises, the drain water level will so rise up and flow into the sump.

The sump elevation is built higher than the drain level. When the sump is full of water, it will activate the water level sensor which will then give the "gate close".
